I saw this discussed a while ago and was wondering if anyone out there has the same problem. According to Dish, my problem is unique to me so they want to replace my box, again (they don't care about the 90 hrs my daughter has on the box)
I got a Dish 625 DVR in November 2005. I noticed imediately I would lose audio (on the tuner I was viewing) when I was using the pip feature. Dish replaced the unit once and the new unit does the same thing.
The audio goes out (on the tuner you are watching) when you record on the tuner you are not watching (timer or manual), stop recording on the tuner you are not watching, if the 2nd tuner changes the channel or the 2nd tuner station signs off (sports channel signs off after game)
This all happens in the single tuner mode.
I called Dish and they are CLUELESS. They said they were going to have the engineering department review it.
I am not using the TV's speakers.
