Hello

I'm new to the dish. Been cable for 20 years . Just had the DVR 625 installed.DVR rules!

I have dishnetwork in Stratford CT. Now for locall channels they only give you new york stations. A mile away west you get local CT stations. Is there a way I can switch to the ct stations?

What is the USB on the 625 used for? Is there a way to hook it up to my pc for remote guide programming?

Thx for any info.

Welcome to satguys :)

I think your locals are determined by your zip code.... the only way to change your locals is to change your service address.. But if its me I would keep the NYC stations as they are owned and operated by all the affilitates. makes trastitioning to hd a hella lot faster for you as most likely by that time you would have nyc locals in hd.. The usb is used for Pocket dish (dish's portable media player) No it can not be hooked up to your pc for remote guide programming... I have attached a quick user guide to help you out.. :)
