I am going to set up my 5' mess C dish and I want to know what a good hi powered C sat would be to go for. I was going to start off with analog and then try digital. I know 5' is REAL small BUT the dish was free.

I think i would try Anik f1, it is a strong signal and there arent many adjacent sats there to give you interference. Two channels of interest, Atlantic Satellite Network and Worldnews.

According to http://www.lyngsat.com/anikf1.html Anik F1 is all digital. Analog is easier to tune in (find).
Hadnt thought of the fact that sat. is all digital, Dave is correct that analog is much easier to tune in. NASA on AMC6 tp 9 is very strong and doesn't have any channels on adjacent sats. close to it that could cause interference.

Just wanted to post my findings.

This is only analog since my SF-95 just started buzzing all the time so I stopped.

TBN Galaxy 12 125W
Cspan on AMC11 131W
HSN and QVC from AMC10 135W

Need to get another signal meter and try to go digital.

Use Fortec Lifetime Ultra for C-BAND Mpeg2(DVB)?

Just to drive my wife a little crazier...
