Long distance to rotor

I have about 120 feet from my receiver to DiSEqC Switch (4 x 1), then about 10 feet to rotor. in front of the switch i have inline amplifier, to boost my signal. my problem is that the rotor does not response to the receiver. any suggestion?

get rid of the booster....they do more harm than good

I've run 150 feet from box to motor and it works fine

Well, without the booster i get not get signal.

Check all your connections again, try a short run to the motor and see if that works, if its a SG2100 try a reset (zero position)

You should NOT need an In line amp with just 120' cable run!

You should go from the receiver to the motor and then the switch, not the other way around. You can do damage the receiver.

You might want to check your cable to see if maybe the end is bad. Like I say, Ive run 150 feet with no issues.
