Locals Question

We've been back home in Minot for 6 months now and I'm wondering why DirecTV gives us the CW from Washington DC in SD instead of CW KWBM or Fargo CW In HD? We have all the other locals in HD why not this one? I have Bell which we get KTLA,WGN,WPIX all in HD so it's not a huge issue but just wondering.

Locals are based on the dma you live in and are derived from the thoughts of the greater powers that be. Unfortunately you get what you get based on zipcode. The fact that your cw is in sd when a neighboring cw is in hd is a coincidence. . It's just that your local cw is not broadcast in hd. The my network tv local for my dma is sd only as well.

That's kinda what I thought. I do hope that DirecTV adds the DC station in HD some time soon then.

Good luck with that I would just go ota and get an am21 if the neighboring dma is close.
