Locals from NC

I live in Nassau, Bahamas but my permanent residence is in NC. I wanted to use D* to see the local channels for NC but am unable to get sat 119, specifically trans 23 to pick up. The signal strength is only 17 right now, while all the others are in the 90s.

Any ideas as to if this will work or am I wasting my time?

You're more than likely beyond the spot beam used for locals in NC. You're probably out of luck.

Which city in NC? Raleigh is on a spot beam, but Greensboro is in Superdish 105

Superdish?? D* doesn't use a superdish, E* uses a superdish.
Most locals are on spot beams and you can only get them within certain areas. You are most likely not going to be able to get locals from NC in the Bahamas.
