Local HD not mapping correctly

I week ago my local HD channels are no longer being mapped to their normal positions in the guide. They use to appear below channel # 100 along side the appropriate SD channel. I can find them up at 6XXX. I called Dish twice now and they have supposedly turned the problem in to someone and they have told me to wait 24-48 hrs and if it hasn't been resolved to call back. Still no solution. Has anyone else experienced this problem? I'm in the Macon, Ga DMA.

What is your dish setup?

Macon use to be on 77W but recently was moved to 61.5. The 61.5 channel numbers are in the 5000's and do map properly. The ones in the 6000's are on 77W.
Sounds like you have Western Arc (110/119/129) and 77W for the HD locals

These are where the correct locals are now....61.5

If they moved the HD locals to to 61.5 that would explain why. Everyone else in this area should be having the same problem that were on the 77 sat. Dish should have anticipated this problem and have clued in their tech support people.

normally they install a Eastern Arc dish that can see 61.5/72/77 which covers all the programming
The issue is when Dish first started using 77W for locals, techs just put up a 2nd dish and plugged that input (77W) into the Dish 1000.4 (110/119/129) input

Iceberg is correct. 12/7/11 is the date virtual location on the 77 orbital started. I have also PM'ed OP to get this corrected.

Thanks for the help. I relocated to Georgia July of 2010 from Michigan. There was an existing Dish 500 dish in place so all the installer did was change it out and add the wing dish for the HD locals.

so if you want, you could move the dish to 61.5 yourself

I too have noticed this issue. One other question. A few years ago when i had Dish; Discover, TLC, etc were also broadcast in HD. I can't find them on the guide anywhere. In fact, the amount of HD I used to have was greater than that I have access to now. Is there anyone here who can shed some light on my circumstances, maybe someone from the New Bern NC area?

Dish said something about I am not going to receive them because I was not on the western arc?

Do you still have a mixed-arc setup? Try menu 6-1-3 and tell us which orbital locations your receiver can see.

Lazt installer. He should have totally changed you out to the earc. A single 1000.4 dish. Bet there are a lot of other HD channels that you are not getting. PM Zach with your phone number. He may be able to set you up with a earc upgrade.
