loading photos crashes my 942

I was so excited to hear I could load photos into my 942. I used a usb stick and it recognized right away. but whenever I tried to load more than one photo it would crash, then open up on the hard disk diagnostic screen and eventually start working again. When I had one photo loaded in it did the same thing when I tried to view the photo. Anyone else have this problem?

No problem with mine when I loaded 30 jpegs into it. Too bad that the photos look stretched when viewed.

Which USB devices are recognized and which ports are active?

I have a Cannon Power Shot G-3 digital camera. If I use the USB cable to the front port on the 942 nothing happens. If I use the rear port, I get a "unsupported USB device" message on the screen.

Is there any documentation on these USB ports ?

tried one more time and I noticed 2 copies of each jpeg would show up. one coded with a series of letters and numbers another starting with ._ then the letters and numbers. As long as I didn't load the ._ files, everything worked fine. wierd.
