Anybody know how to link two hoppers? DISH tech support = clueless. I've heard it done, can't seem to find the right button. Help!

Hoppers can't be linked to each other. However in the DVR menu you can access the other Hoppers' recordings by selecting the button next to My Recordings.

To honost and I'm not sure what linking does for two hoppers. Ideally it would make both hoppers "appear" as one large hopper. I've seen various threads with instructions that supposedly work for others, but I can't find the same menu selections. DISH even refers to this as "future release" from last year.

There isnt full integration as to where you can set recordings at one location for both. However, it does work well in that you can watch anything recorded on either one from any location.

Very true. And that functions just wonderfully. Main reason I'm interested is the "you must connect to this hopper to watch that show/recording" is proving quite difficult for the little ones in the house.

I think that if they could link both hoppers so you could set the timers up on either hopper from either hopper you are sitting in front of would be nice. Then being able to see both dvr's shows in one menu would be great. Then you would have the ability to take full advantage of both hoppers without having to physically moving to the other room.

Had Two Hoppers for a year.
We are really having troubles finding our recordings because we cant remember which hopper we recorded them on.
Both Hoppers are nearly full so it is a long list.

Dish Dirt Request. Please suggest to corporate to add an option to link both Hoppers together in the DVR list. For those that like it the current way leave that as the default, but give us the option so we can decide.

I have a solution to that problem of having to move to another room to set fibers on a different hopper. Use the dish anywhere app. Make sure you select the correct hopper on your app and set timers that way. Then all from one screen you are able to set or remove timers at will.
