When SatelliteGuys First Started we offered lifetime memberships to those that donated to the site to help us to get going... those folks that donated in the early days earned the prestigious badge of "Supporting Founder" here at SatelliteGuys.
Since then we have offered One or Two Year Pub Memberships, this money has been used to pay for our servers, bandwidth, software licenses, software licenses, domain names etc. This site would probably not be around today without the generous support of our Pub Members.
During all those years people have been asking us to offer a lifetime Pub Membership and we have always declined... until now. But only for a limited time.
So why now? Quite honestly we had some major hardware issues which took out two of our servers, I authorized the repair / replacement of the faulty hardware. As people know that while we have ads and Pub Memberships that I personally pay from my pocket for any extra costs. Unfortunately for these costs I can not afford to pay for them on my own.
Before I went away on my vacation a member once again if we offered Lifetime Pub Memberships... while I was away a light bulb went over my head or how I could take care of paying off this large bill...
So from now until Friday August 5th we are offering the ability for our members to become "Lifetime Supporters" where you pay one time and become a Pub Member for life. You will get all the Pub Member benefits plus a bright shiny green "Lifetime Supporter" badge under your name in your posts. This will show the world that you are a proud SatelliteGuys Supporter!
