Lets have a little fun...shall we
On C-Band there is a "pick 10" where for 22 bucks you can pick 10 channels from a list of available channels. But lets expand on that
Lets say there is a "mythical" satellite company out there that would offer any channel out there to folks on a KU dish. You buy the receiver (a nice one...has a great blind scan, PVR option and can take the card to decrypt the programming you pay for) and can select from any channel out there. For $25 you get 20 of them.
The networks available are from smaller cities and are one network markets. Networks are
CBS KEYC Mankato, MN
ABC KQTV St Joe, MO
NBC WTAP Parkersburg, WV
FOX KEYC-DT2 Mankato
Lets see what kind of lists folks can come up with
Here are the rules
-pick 20 channels from what is out there
-it doesnt have to be a US based channel or doesnt have to be on a satellite we can see
-this would be set up at your current location
-the networks count as 2 selections and come as a package deal (big 4).
-any other channels out there as free to air are bonus. Again the receiver can blind scan and move a dish. So the ones you are paying for are beyond the free ones.
-and the C-Band guys. I know you dont want to hear this but for this mythical situation W5 does not exist. So you can't sub to 20 on this system and have stuff from W5 via SRL or Skyvision.
-If the station is on C-Band as free but you are KU only, its a 2 for 1 deal. 2 C-Band unencrypted channels for 1 selection
So whaddya got?
