Wow, all they have to do is send the wake-up command.
Seagates have, for years, had a power-management problem where they fall asleep at the wrong times, but they always wake up when told to.
I just removed a Seagate from my Windows XP computer because it falls asleep well before the 2-hour timeout that I configured it for. The computer freezes for the 5 to 10 second spin-up time and it's completely unacceptable.
It's too bad this is happening to DiSH Network. Power management is crucial in these DVRs for heat management and these problems should have been already solved during the product testing phase.
