Keep on Losing Local Channel Feeds

I am on an H20 and my local channels keep on "buffering". They are clear and smooth for a second and then I lose the audio and then I lose the whole feed for 5 seconds. It comes back on for about another 5 seconds but the same thing happens over and over. None of my cables are loose and I don't know what's wrong. I need help ASAP. I am currently watching NCIS LA and I do not want any interruptions for Person of Interest!

Its Locals Only in my bedroom receiver. The living room receiver works fine.

Re do your connections on the lines going to that room.

Check for water in the connections outside.

Which model of H20 do you have? If it's an H20-600, then it may have been running hot for so long that it is shot. The H20-100 is a much more stable receiver.

It's the receiver. Classic H20 going out, soon you will just get 771 on all your locals

Turn off, or unplug ?

Difference being, if you unplug (-600, overheating), yes that could help till it heats back up.
Just turning it off with the remote, should not change anything.

I "killed" my last H20 a couple weeks ago, had 3 at one time of the 600 models, bought a HR34 to replace the last one with, a HR24 a couple years ago or so to replace the first one ...

Here's what you do. Call Directv and tell them the H20 won't power up, that it's dead. Tell them you need a receiver that has ota capabilities. They will send you an H20-100. They almost definitely won't want the old box, but they will want the access card.
