Yep that is it. I knew they had one way back then. I miss read the ad.
Man I have not seen one of those for years.

*sniff* That brings back memories... I have dozens of D-VHS tapes recorded off of my DSR100. No idea if they could ever be played back. Mostly Star Trek TNG or Voyager episodes, with some B5 mixed in.

Who knows if they could even be watched today?

Thanks everyone for their replies and comments... saw one in a thrift store, and was just curious about it. Does anyone think the VCR part can still be used as a stand alone recorder connected via the RCA jacks to record from ATSC converter box or a FTA Receiver? I might still get it as a conversation piece for my electronics graveyard...

I found a few stand-alone D-VHS recorders online, might look into obtaining one of them, and also found an interesting article about converting S-VHS tapes to D-VHS tapes: http://www.keohi.com/keohihdtv/learnabout/generaltips/dvhs_budget.html

I guess I just have a soft heart for obsolete tech... :bluesbros
