I signed up through Barclaycard,I guess they get a kickback. I tried to copy and paste terms but it didn't work

Yeah, that is it. Works out to $150. I have never had a problem with the cc company or Directv in the past. I am very wary of at@t, been screwed by them in the past. Still trying to find out what fees I would be paying.

This is fairly common with internet affiliate rebates. Discover card offers 5% on Apple. I once called with a question after the next day after placing an order and I did not get the cash back. Their response was that calling voided the cash back but they gave it to me as a courtesy.
The logic is if the retailer (directv in this case) has to be involved in the order the affiliate (barclays) isn't entitled to their commission, which they then give you a portion as a rebate.
I'm always early of big affiliate offers as there are too many things that can kill the kickback. In this case, even something like rescheduling installation could be an issue.

The link took me to Directv website, than I chose the package I wanted. I know att bought directv, but directv has the package I wanted. I was offered a similar deal from Bank of America,
