For all the problems the 811 may have... I just got one installed.
It is replacing my 9 year old D* receiver and a Samsung SIR-T351... and it is fantastic!
It locks all my local digitals great, it has far more flexibility in stretching SD channels than the Samsung does, and the picture is comparable or better than my old setup. Except now, I don't feel any need to jump back and forth between Component and SVideo like I did with the old setup.
