I have a DSR920 receiver.
My "set limits" counter will not change for more than 3 or 4 numbers, and then the "reached physical limits" pops up.
Bought a used DSR922 and it does the same thing.
Very confused here!

Are you sure your actuator is moving?
My guess is its froze up.
If you have a 24VDC source(2 12VDC car batterys in series will work)
then unhook the wires going to actuator and where the large red and large black wires were
hook the 24VDC to it.
If it doesnt move switch the polarity with the 24v and try again.

If it does move you need to re set the limits but I really doubt thats it.

Also when disconnecting the wires at the terminals I like to snip the last inch
leaving a tail of what color it was.
When re terminating you can remove the tail one piece at a time as you land them.
you will never cross a wire again if you do this.

I got the same message after lightening fried the reed switch on my jack. However the jack would still move the dish a small amount each time.

Cheers,
Dale

I've seen a seized actuator arm give the same type of error message. Or just a simple bad wiring connection on the arm of the dish.

You've got both a 920 and a 922.. I'm jealous :) I just recently bought my first 4DTV unit - a used 920.
