NEW YORK (AP) - Baby, you can drive his car.

John Lennon's 1956 Austin Princess, the modified hearse featured in his 1973 documentary, Imagine, is among items to be auctioned starting Oct. 2 at www.juliensauctions.com .

The car, complete with Lennon-signed registration, is valued at $200,000 to $300,000, Julien's Auctions said Tuesday.

Other items in the auction, which will conclude live Oct. 29 in Las Vegas, include the white suit Lennon wore for the Beatles' Abbey Road crosswalk album cover, the embroidered jacket he wore in Imagine, Marilyn Monroe's 1961 daily appointment book (from the estate of her secretary May Reis), Monroe's personal phone and address book and Charlie Chaplin's grandfather clock, used in his 1918 short film, How to Make Movies.

A portion of the proceeds from the Lennon memorabilia will benefit Amnesty International USA.

Highlights of the auction will tour at Planet Hollywood Japan (Sept. 26-30), Planet Hollywood New York (Oct. 11-15) and the Aladdin Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas (Oct. 24-29).

I watched some of the Auction LIVE and it has made some improvements from before.

Positives

1- Now we can see those putting up the $$ to buy.

2- there are more reviews now on the items that are auction.

3- there are also interviews

4- Mixing all of these makes the Auction more interested and less boring as before.

Negatives

1- The negatives are more in the production side of event. Heavy lipsync problem from the start.

2- Out of focus cameras on the floor.

3- The Production manager needs to do a better job when cameras are cutting. It was very poor seeing Elyse (the hostes) waiting for her camera to be on.

4- Various sounds problems besides the lipsyncs.

5- Elyse is a great hostess of the LIVE Auction. All the production problems makes it difficult for her. Also, her name and the guest's name should be displayed at all time. Quite difficult to follow who is who.

Over all there was improvement but there is a lot more improvement to be made in the production the live event.
