Israel's own 24-hour TV news station is about to go live

In less than a week, if all goes according to plan, i24News – a first of its kind Israeli 24-hour international TV news station – will go live. The station will broadcast in English, French and Arabic from its spanking new studios in the Jaffa port – to audiences across the globe.

I24News will broadcast around the clock in English and French – and five hours each day in Arabic. This coming year, Melloul said, it will be possible to watch i24News via satellite in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia – with plans to launch it in the United States in 2014

The article was free to read 2 days ago,

They start broadcasting FTA in Europe, Africa and the Middle East in English, French and Arabic,
The article mentions they plan to launch broadcasting to the US in 2014, at this point no mention of what satellite they would use.

Given the situation with AJE, and looking into other options I see this channel is up at least I have access to its video stream, it doesn´t sound like it´s already in a satellite in our part of the world.

From the streaming service, it seems to be very different.

Yes I agree, I´m watching it right now, and I´d say that while JN1 is more focused on reporting about the Jewish community around the world, with the reports and no anchor person, I24 has anchors broadcasting live (different for the english channel and french channel it isn´t just a second audio like JN1 has).

Right now I see they are reporting on international news.
