Is your DIRECTV NOMAD Dead?

I am getting reports from a number of users telling me that their DIRECTV NOMAD is no longer working, users are getting an error message when trying to access their NOMAD content. Calls in to DIRECTV support have been telling them to call back in a few days if the problem continues.

So my question is, is this happening to others as well?

I just got mine. Had to unplug it a few times to get it to work. After it found the Internet and downloaded the firmware update, it appears to be working fine now. Did get a red light for a few seconds when plugging it back in. After that instance, it started the firmware update process.

Looks like there was an issue on DIRECTV's end and that it has been fixed now.

All this issue did for me is make me think, hmm, when was the last time I actually used my Nomad? A few months at least.
