Is there a way to get Shows from my DVD collection on to my HOPPER?

I had a bunch of shows on my external HD but it erased them when i plugged it into my Hopper, but i would like to put a bunch of my sons movies on there so he can watch them. Also how do i C if i have gotten the lates update on my Hopper? THX

No you can't rip DVDs to the hopper. There are ways to stream media to it though with dlna.

To see the latest software version press menu twice on the remote while watching tv

If you are new to hopper and your EHD was previously used on a 722 or similar, your recordings probably weren't really erased. Contact DIRT and ask them to send a hit to your hopper. Then your recordings will show up.
