Is the OTA tuner (s) on the HR 20 powered?

I live in a fringe area and need a powered, amplified outdoor antenna. Is the input for the HR20 OTA tuner powered (amplified)? Noone at Direct seems to be able to answer this.

I have never heard of an amplified OTA INPUT. I have heard of amplified antennas that will amplify the signal to the receiver.

What you need is a large high gain antenna with mast-mounted preamp. It should include a power inserter which you place in the line between the receiver and the preamp.

This is what i use, and im about as far out as anyone would be and be able to get any kind of signal. I use a Channel Master UHF Multi-Bay Antenna (4228) and am not sure on the amp. Works very well
