Is the Dish 1000 adequate for my needs?

Thanks to all for the great info. I have one VIP211 HD receiver and I am wired for a second in the future. I have a great unobstructed view of the SW point. Will I be alright with the Dish 1000 for a good signal and all of the future HD channels coming our way? Will the 129 bird handle all of the future HD channels? Thanks again guys!
