Is my hr24/h24 whole home DVR installedd properly?

I don't feel like I have explained this setup very well because no one has agreed with me that the black power inserter is not needed. Here is a picture. Can my setup work without the black power adapter and only one of the two coax lines? The line coming through the wall is a double coax wire. thanks!

Yes I have the exact same thing. The reason you have both is that the HR24 can't have the Ethernet cable in the Ethernet port, at least that is what the installer told me.

Well the DECA also pass your net connection to all of your devices as well. Some of this could be on your internet connection speed as well. Everyones Internet speed is going to be different so some will have a better connection than other so performance will vary there as well.
