Is Dwayne Wade the best clutch TEAM player in the NBA NOW??

After watching today's game and taking into consideration everything he did during last years NBA Playoffs, I think I am not far off in stating D-Wade is THE BEST team player in the NBA AND one of 2 BEST PLAYERS in the league. Though he has gotten better, Koby STILL does not improve the players around me. And Lebron has yet to prove anything. What do you guys think? Please do NOT bring up any players NOT playing any more.....just TRY(and I know this will almosy be impossible to control)to use players playing now....

Well, I don't know about Labron having a better team, I mean Phil Jackson is a better coach by far over Mike Brown....so I guess that evens it out. I cannot though agree with putting EITHER Nash nor Kidd...for the simple reason of neither have won a NBA championship. What Wade is doing down here in Miami is Jordan-esque....and EVERYONE in the league knows it. EVERYONE knows it's Shaq the 1st half and Wade in the 2nd half. Going into today's game in the 4th quarter.....ANYBODY that has ever watched basketball knows Wade was going to take over the 4th quarter....especially the Spurs, and they could do NOTHING about it.....AND de did not force the issue, still shot above 50%(10 for 19) and kept everyone involved.

Not 110% true; Dirk slammed the Heat FIRST; that "they didn't win anything, the championship, we GAVE it to them".

Talk about glaring disrespect and being a sore loser; you should expect comments to be coming back...

Dwayne responded to that comment when ASKED about it by a reporter. Everything Wade said in the rebuttal was 100% accurate and exactly what local DFW reporters, and many national experts said too, the day after the Mavs lost.. The same thing everyone puts on Dirk's back about the series, should even been said about Jason Terry as well.

D-Wade does not talk trash....I can honestly say he could be THE MOST humble player in the league.

Yep, everyone has good and bad games; its all about consistency, getting the "W"; the rings and career longevity are great bonuses. That is how the greats rise to the top; but there are plenty of greats in every sport that are the best of the best that never won the top game. There are also plenty of great player that get "slammed" for commenting about people they are asked about; especially when those comments are disparaging. I have no issues with people rebutting comments made toward or about them or their team; especially when those comments are wrong and disrespectful to begin with.

He's great at getting every single possible call by the refs. How many FT's does he shoot a game? At least 10 and sometimes I've seen him shoot over 20. Geez....another Detrioter still suffering from when Michael Jordan use to take your lunch away just when you were about to eat it. NO ONE, other than possibly Allan Iverson, goes to the basket more than Wade....nobody. And unfortunately for him, he had because he really had no jump shoot. But that has changed, I would not be surpised to she his free throw attempts drop as his jump shot improves.

I'm not sure Phil is a better coach...I mean look at the teams he's won with.

If I'm picking a player to start my squad with...I'd take Lebron. Shaq is a difference maker and you put him beside another great player and they are going to win a championship. If the Cavs got Shaq...Lebron would have his championship.

Right now though, Kobe is still thebest swing player in the league. No he doesn't have a Championship by himself but he is making every player on that Lakers team better. DWade is a score...I don't see him making anybody around him better either although I do love his game.

I'd even go far to say the best player in the league right now is Steve Nash. That guy scores...makes all his team mates look like Super Stars and has the best record in the league....no he can't fly and make highlight reel dunks but by FAR he is the difference maker on his team. Look how they are playing without him.

I most certainly agree that Nash is the best player in the league for getting the players involved and making them look and play better. Kobe and DWade aren't even in his league in that regard. One-on-one though, with ten seconds left, I'd still give the ball to Kobe. D'Wade is a great player, AND if it were my team, I'd rather have him overall than Kobe. But, Kobe still gets the nod in crunch time! Salsa, your loayalty is admirable, but ..... if you were in Washington D.C. you'd probably be saying the same thing about Gilbert Arenas.

How about the NBA call the game like it should be called. traveling, carrying the ball, 3 seconds, etc... it is why I stopped watching it. Love BB and play it twice weekly and did in HS, but the NBA is a joke with how they officiate games. When did the white male become irrelevant re: the NBA?

Wade had 97 ft's in the finals last year. He is averaging over 11 ft's per game this year. How many phantom calls does he get because he's Shaq sidekick?

Sorry....HOW? The Heat had the better TEAM, they played better as a TEAM...period. This is not like the Super Bowl where one turnover can kill you.
IF you as a team are making the same mistakes in a SERIES or the other team is taking advantage of the SAME THINGS....that means you are NOT AS GOOD AS THE OTHER TEAM. One game championships is one thing, lose 4 STRAIGHT GAMES.....there is no other way around it.

I agree with Salsa on this one. The Mavs simply didn't match up well against the Heat. The Heat "won" the series. The Mavs didn't "lose" it.
