Is a UPS Battery Backup Needed for Front Projector

Got back into the FP game.
I have read yes and no on the subject of UPS battery backup for front projector.
The people that say yes say it will allow fan to run and cool down lamp in case of a power outage.
The people that say no say power outage won't hurt projector. Just make sure to wait 10 min or so before restarting.
What do you fp owners think?

I do not have one. Have had 2 projectors since 2008 without issue. I have worried about it at first, but after a couple years I do not worry about it any more.

I have a 61" JVC RPTV. I keep it on a huge UPS along with the rest of my HT. this unit needs cooling after shutdown for bulb life. Perhaps more importantly, when shutting down it needs a 90 second fan provided cooling cycle before it can be restarted. A short loss of power could send it into this cooling shutdown, which cannot be overridden. YMMV

Probably really comes down to how reliable your utility company is when you watch TV. A cooling lockout would be annoying for every blink of power if your power blinked a lot...

Power is pretty reliable most of the time. Heavy thunderstorm can bring an outage every once in a while.
Just didn't know if an outage would damage the fp or lamp without cooling down first.
