IR Remote for VIP-622

What is the latest remote version for the VIP-622?

Mine is 5.3 and I just picked up a new Sony STR-DG800 Amplifier and none of the codes will work so I can control the volume. I have also done a scan and nothing. I guess on this new receiver they used all new frquencies because none of the codes with my Sony RM-AV2500 works on that remote either. I had to train all of the buttons.

Sadly Echostar remotes have problems with a lot of Sony devices. But the problem may not be solely with Echostar. Apparently many SOny devices have more than one mode. Take another look at your manual and if that does not help go to remotecentral.com. There was a thread over there discussing how to change the mode on Sony devices so that they can accept another set of commands.

I tried to find it but could not so I hope that it is mentioned in your manual.

Her it is. I found this thread throgh another forum. Unfortunately it is very hard to understand but your receiver is mentioned. Changing the mode MIGHT help. Good luck.
