At my office, we have some iPhones connected to the server and MS Exchange. One of our guys with an iPhone 4 wants to turn off 3G and make do with Edge, so extend battery life.

Would he continue to get his email and access other Exchange features with 3G off, just slower? I could just do a quick test, but he's not here now, and in the office it's wifi anyway.

I don't know. Exchange does not work on any apple products on the server at my job site. If I want to check my work e-mail on my iPhone or iPad I have to do it through the works e-mail webpage through Safari

Exchange on my iTouch 4g with Pin Security works fine. Coworkers with all the different iPhones models have no issue.

I can get mail on my Android phone on edge.

Also going to edge won't improve life that much. He is better off doing a cycle check and not push

It will do no good to tell him that. Tech adverse. But once he gets an idea.........
