In order to save a trip to an Apple Store (& making the required appointment first), I'm asking here.
On my 3GS, I used to be able to press my earbud (Motorola 710) once, hear a tone, wait a second or two, hear a second, "double" tone (or such) and say "Call Smith John mobile" and have it dial out. I no longer get that second tone, and it never dials out this way. If I hold the button down for a few seconds, it seems to act as "redial." The "Missing Manual" is of no help here, nor can I find a setting to turn on or off such a feature.
Any ideas? Has this happened to anyone else?
