Is such a thing possible/reasonably supportable?

The idea being, someone could start a Private Discussion/Thread on a certain topic, but only send out invites to certain members. Perhaps the topic is sensitive, private or likely to draw trolls. It would be a good way to avoid mocking or other abuse and limit participation to productive members.

I mentioned something like that a few years ago ....
 
I see Haller sitting in a room all by himself.
 
Would be neat and a problem at the same time. The closest you can get iwith this software s in PM's where I believe you can up to 5 people in the same PM conversation.

I can see where something like that would be great for some things, but I could also see it being misused for people looking to do illegal things where our staff couldn't see it or control it. So it has its plusses and minuses. :)
 
Staff should definitely be allowed in.

Hadn't thought about the crime angle.
