:( I find it very interesting that so many Canadians South of the border try to get Expressvu service and we try to scramble away from it....

We had a TIVO DTV System for years and we are missing it badly. Trying to find an address to use for billing is proving very challenging. Brokers do not allow you to order PPV's which defeats the purpose since were in a rural community. Any Canadian Migrants that have directv and want it paid for or will allow an address to be used for activation by an honest Family please PM Me....

Getting desperate.

Thanks

It is not really that brokers will not allow PPV, the problem is if you plug in your Canadian phone line you may get shut down because they might see the calls coming from outside of the United States.

I was told that I was more than welcome to order PPV from my broker ( canamsatellites) but I was at risk of being shut down and possibly having my receiver red flagged as a Non-US account which would make it useless.
So as far as I understand, you would have the same problem anyway you go about it, unless you maybe get a VoIP line with an american number to plug it into ;)

correct
Due to the issue with the telephone numbers, unless you can get a US number on a VOIP, you really can’t order PPV. I know I could get a Canadian number, but it only works for incoming calls. My receiver would dial out my US number

btw: welcome both of you :wave

I love my SC system...and I am a honorary Canadian :)
(I'm a US citizen and only been to Thunder Bay twice)

I know Canadians want the US stuff and we like the Canadian stuff
CBC
hockey :)
NHL Network

I edited the "PS" that was in the original post due to what it said

please note we do not condone theft of service here.

I have seen things for non-us directv subscribers called redialers. I haven't been able to find any redialers for americans with *c or BEV.

this is what they are http://www.smalldish.com/redialers.html

you could order ppv with a redialer or via directv.com (if you know the account info)

My wife was born and raised in Kirkland Lake, Ontario. We also have a house up there where we spend summers. So it's nice to have Canadian TV, so my wife can see shows from home. Plus we can also get French networks (wife is bilengual, grew up less than a half hour from Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec).

Primestar eliptical. Can it be used for SC?
