Interesting HDD Enclosure/Player

At first look I was quite impressed until it hit me what the gimmick on this was.

In video, we have know for a long time that 4200 RPM drives will just not work for video, Not even 5400 RPM drives unless you don't mind average frame rate of 20-22 FPS with the others dropped producing choppy looking motion. We know that 7200 RPM is minimum required period.

So how did they do this? The answer was right in front of me. They never said these will work for AVI or even 5:1 compressed DV frame size. We're talking highly compressed MPEG2, 4, jpg,s, DIVX etc. But not AVI's or DV video. Still, it is a nice drive for video in these compressed formats it supports. I just don't have any use for this, but I'm always on the lookout for a portable, (Low cost) drive that will handle digital video for editing.
