For the first time, we had an interactive commercial this evening. It was on TLC, between 9 and 10pm, and was for a Ford Edge. It gave an onscreen prompt to push Select, which then loaded the images. It went to the "Please wait while the interactive application loads..." screen. Once loaded, you could look at different "pages", which all loaded very fast. Not bad implementation but the graphics were very low quality. Clearly they're designed for SD televisions. It would be nice if they'd create two versions, one for SD and one for HD.

Have these been around for long ? I guess since we do 80% of our viewing from DVR, we don't see too many commercials....

Just got another one on SPIKE that was advertising something for the Nat'l Geographic Channel. Hitting Select took me to the Nat Geo channel.

Old news, I'm afraid. I've seen this feature for a couple years, at least. Given your longevity and the number of posts you have here, I am actually quite surprised you didn't know about it, have seen it or whatever.

It would be similar to saying, "I can found the 'Check Switch' feature and tried it. It worked pretty well. How long has this been around?"

I guess we all have learned things later than the average joe. I didn't realize until recently that the correct verbiage was "an old WIVES tale". I had always said "an old WISE tale".

I've always known about the feature from one of the settings in my Dish receiver menus, it's just that I've NEVER before seen it used.

To clarify, I have seen it in action for a long time (i.e. clicked on it). Usually it is on the commercials for a DISH channel or PPV. I'd guess that maybe 10% are for actual products like Ford, etc.

Is this possible??
