installer using wrong ch???

We are having dish installed since we moved but he is using 110 119 129 instead of 61.5 72 77...live in monroe nc outside of charlotte...i had the ea...why is he using those channels

Well, not channels, sats. Perhaps a LOS problem? Charlotte HD locals are also on 129, except for CW and an independent.

I tell ya, if you have LOS problems for the EA in Monroe, you've got bad problems. EA is way way up in the sky at that location. The installer prolly didn't have any EA dishes on his vehicle.

What channels will I lose then using the other sat???...I would have preferred EA...is this something I need to talk to dirt or dish about???

Also... I wanted HIC and he gave me a dish wireless dual band for wifi but I dont have wifi...I was told that HIC just plugs into a router and I'm good to go...Please help me figure this out as I am unable to use blockbuster@home on my plasma tv

As per dahenny, and no HIC, sounds like the installer was under equipped for the install. Yes, definitely, get in touch with a Dirt member.

Ill wait till a Dirt member is on to do that...so it looks like Im not missing any channels...i just havent had time to sit down and double check...i may be ok i was just not sure as to why he did not use EA...my locals are appearing in sd and hd but when I was on EA the locals were just HD...that is the only thing I have noticed so far...I wonder what I'm missing

I have those channels...im still not sure why he did those sats though...our neighbors and mostly everyone elses dish is pointing another direction...anything else I may be missing...so confused haha

Wrong, CW is included with the Charlotte area locals. It's on Channel 46 WJZY. Never heard of MYNetwork TV in this area.

Correction: MynetworkTV is on Channel 55 in the Charlotte are. I rarely watch it.
