IA6 Newbie Questions

Just curious.

Anybody know what the 4 channels on transponder 12077v on IA6 are. They are Spanish audio. They are listed as TV 1-4. I checked Lyngsat and couldn't see anything listed on IA6 or nearby birds.

Also, what is a typical quality reading on IA6? I am topping out at 66%. Tried to tweak and didn't go any higher.

I am getting the above channels at 99% quality...
TV 1 is now showing The Simpsons!
University Channel is at 75% quality.

Thanks for the reply. Looks like I have some work to do-I am getting 75% on those. Getting 65 or so on the "Dish Settings" screen which I guess is an "average" of the sat. Not sure though. Simpsons is almost funnier in Spanish.

Unfortunately, ftalist is hideously out of date, the last update was over 3 months ago.

I do check that and Lyngsat both. They are never always up-to-the-minute and I suspect that is not possible in FTA the way things change. Also still learning to read Lyngsat.

Where should I be when aiming dish with the Coolsat? I have been using the "Dish Setting" screen without the motor and "Motorized Setting" with it. If I should be somewhere else that might be part of my problem.

I have 24 channels on IA6. 5 FTA, 3 Feeds and 16 $ channels.

11939V ABC news now
12075V Azteca 13, Azteca 7, Azteca America from Mexico.

What do you get ?

if your hand aiming the dish, either works.

Tyndall AFB (occasional)
FAA Encoder (color bars)
Around 20 News Feeds which come and go.

Back on IA5 too (94 ch.) so lots to watch!
