Hi,

I think it's the best place on earth to get satellite FTA related info.

Thanks Iceberg, you did a great job.

I have a question. On IA5, I can get almost all the DVB ku-band FTAs except this one:

RRSat Global Network
Freq. 11966H
tp14
sr 22000

Could anyone tell me why? signal too weak?

Thanks,
Tom

welcome :wave

RRSat is the owner of the "mux" of the channels there. You won't get that channel (since there isn't one)

The channels on that TP (as by Lyngsat)
Fashion TV
KurdSat
RBN
Thai TV
TRT Int'l
VTV4
MRTV3
Made in Albania
4 radio stations

Hi Iceberg,

Thank you for your quick reply.

My question is: why couldn't I get any of those FTA channels you listed.

Actually, I got a quality below 50 on that tp and could not search for any channels. But I had no problem to get other FTA channels.

Thanks,
Tom

weird why you couldn't

I haven't scanned IA5 in a while but usually I have no issues.

What is your setup (receiver, dish, LNB, etc) :)

Sorry, I forgot the name of my DVB receiver which was made in Taiwan. It's very easy to use, but no blind search feature. The LNB is a single standard 0.5db ku-band. The set up is really simple.

It is strange. When you have time to scan IA5 again, please let me know your finding.

Thank you for your reply.
Tom

I'm at work right now so it will be tonight before I can do it

Can someone scan the TP posted abvove and help out?

Scanning now...

76%+ Signal, 49% Quality on FashionTV right now here in Orem, UT, on IA5.
Though I have it at 12177Mhz / 23Msps / V instead of 11966H...

Edit: Actually, NOTHING is on 11966H here. Closest txpndrs I have to that on IA5 are 11991V (Kuwait TV, M2, Mac TV etc) and 12007 (scrambled channel).

Edit2: Satcodx says as of 2005-06-06, 23:21 that transponder's working fine... still can't get it here. Odd. Will keep trying :)

EDIT_LAST: DOH! Ok, too early to be helping, lol.
11966000 / H / 22000 works fine here, 75% Signal, 49% Quality. I continually was checking 11996  Don't think that transponder is in my lists, though, for some reason; will have to go check.

I scanned it last night and got all those channels above to hit....about a 50-55 quality

When I typed in the info (frequency, polarity, etc) it didnt want to work. When I did a blind scan it pegged right away
