Rich or poor, it's good to have money.

I ordered the package from SatelliteAV:

Coolsat 5000 (in silver, of course. I'm not a barbarian.)
Serial cable for above
4-way Diseqc switch
Winegard 76cm dish
Fortec FSKU-V LNB
Geosatpro GS120 Motor

They gave me a great package price. (I should be able to make it back when I sell my old DP501. It's got a yellow card, so the hounds will be drooling all over it.) Nick in Sales was friendly and accomodating. Brian in service, whom you know from this forum, helped me with my multitude of tech questions.

I highly recommend SatelliteAV. I'm sure all of the sponsors at SatGuys is great. But, for me, SatelliteAV was the right choice. I'm really digging the fact that inexpensive ground shipping will arrive in one or two days. So, I'll be posting plenty of install questions on Wednesday and/or Thursday. (Do you really think I can wait until the weekend? No f-ing way.)

WOOHOO!

I planned on using the mount/arm that came with it. Why? In the picture, it looks like the same type that comes with a Dish500, but longer. If so, it should be perfect.

Just wondered since you didn't talk about a pole. Thought you might be trying an alternative mount of some sort. Doing your homework and getting that first good quality is sweeet!

Start planning which TV goes on the roof with you !

I won't have to. It will be mounted on my bedroom veranda, where currently a Dish single pointed at 148 lives. (I'm keeping the Dish 500 for NASA and music.) I can see the bedroom TV just fine through the glass doors. I've got a sweet mounting situation.

Plus, I seem to have a clear view from E1/2@148w all the way to AMC3@87w. (Possibly AMC2, 5, and 9, as well. We'll see.) Yes. it's a pretty sweet mounting situation.

No 90cm? At times I wished I would have went with the 120cm.

The QPH-031 is another awesome upgrade to get on a motorized system.

Welcome to the FTA club!

76cm is gonna look huge on my veranda. I'll make due right now. I may want to upgrade in the future. But, this should be fine for now.

Awesome!! You will love it! SatelliteAV rocks, I'm tellin' ya, man! :up :up :up You won't regret it!

And I'm very happy with 90cm of GeoSatPro Dish, I bought last Friday. And it's worth it!! :)

I agree..... that winegard gathers it up nice and with the right alignment you'll get plenty. Yes... those feeds will come in sometimes that you can't pull in with a low quality but the aesthetics of the smaller dish is worth a few points in my book as well.

:hatsoff:
