Two months ago, I bought tickets for today's Mets/Dogers game which was scheduled to start at 1:05. My fiancee, my borther and his 9 year old son and I were looking forward to our day at Shea and as a Yankee fan I wanted to see Joe Torre and his new squad! On my commute home on Friday night, I was reading the NY Post and then and only then did I learn that the game had been re-scheduled as ESPN's Sunday Night Game. Firstly, Shea Stadium this time of year is pretty damn cold at night. Secondly, the commercial load on a network game is significantly higher than a local telecast, so we'll be spending a lot of time chilling and watching nothing as Auto Zone et al delays the action with commercial after commercial. Thirdly and most importantly, the 9 year old probably while miss a large part of the game he's been talking about for months because there's school tomorrow. What a hosing!!!!!
