I hate Hasek

Anyone see his Peter Foreskin imitation tonight against the Sharks? Wasn't even touched, after Christian Erhoff skated past him he threw his hands up in the air, dropped his stick, and acted as if he had been shot by a 50 caliber bullet as he went down.

Dumbass refs fell for it and called the penalty on the Sharks d-man. When it was replayed on the jumbotron the place went crazy with boos.

What a sleaze. Divers need game misconduct penalties, and retro-active fines and bans. There is nothing sportsmanlike or honorable about a diving cheater. I don't care if the Sharks lose tonight. At least they play honorably and I've never seen a Shark dive.

I'm not even going to go into his tirade on the first goal, skating to center ice to distract the refs. Read the rulebook, that's a delay of game penalty, but no call.

What a scumbag douche.

He's ALWAYS done that. He's such a great goaltender, when he pulls this stuff it always makes me mad....

Yep, I'm a wings fan but I am no Hasek fan. He's always done stuff like that in his whole carerr and the last couple seasons they ignored or even penalized him, but for some reason not this season.
He's not alone in doing it for sure, but as a goalie he gets noticed more. I can't say I can name 1 player in the NHL who hasn't embelished a bit on falls and hits, but some do it much more than others. I even remember Wayne taking a few easy hits to the extreme and getting the calls.
I personally think the Wings would be better off this season with Ozzy and Manny instead of Hasek, but Detroit is a fickle town that has the ability to over emphasize 1 mistake and end a players career in that town. Manny didn't even make a mistake really in the playoffs, he was great IMO. It's not his fault the team got injured and scoring disappeared in the conference finals. The fans have pretty much become the yankee fans of the NHL and what peeves me is most didn't even care for hockey until the mid 90's. They weren't there when the team drafted Yzerman and stuggled for years. They weren't there for Probert and Domi battles.

*let me add that Haseks peformance is usually subpar this year, but the team defense saves him. Seriously, how long would you be starting goalie in the league if you consistently let in 3 goals on 15 shots?

2- I posted it right after his poor sportsmanship play. I stated win or lose at least we have our honor intact because Ron Wilson doesn't put up with that crap.

I'd rather lose with honor than win by cheating.

Your obviously not watching the game closely enough.
Players have been diving for decades, if then refs don't call it, why do you blame the player?

A Shark has NEVER dived ? Now thats not too biased

I could not afford tickets that far back, that is why I was not going back then, but I've been following the Wings since the late 70's, been following hockey much longer, I was a big Bobby Orr and Bruins fan back in the day.

My first games was back in the early '70s at Olympia Stadium (aka Od Red Barn). I remember seeing Mickey Redmond and Alex Delvecchio playing against the Habs.

The starter and the back up make the game ... Ozzie has played better this year, I'm surprised that Dom made it.

double checked and i was correct.......osgood (on my fantasy team) is an all-star and hasek isn't.
