Hulu backs off from sale; owners to inject $750 million into the company

Good news... now there no worry some big pocketed telecom company will make the service exclusive to their own subscribers. Keeping it accessible to everyone is the way to go.

It seems unlikely that the Hulu owners would agree to a plan where they would be cut off from the service.

I'm not sure AT&T is any more scary than DIRECTV or Time Warner in that respect.

Well Not For Sale Sign is up.
The speculation at the end of the article suggests that DIRECTV and TWC may have negotiated some sort of buy-in (maybe similar to the fabled MLB deal). I wouldn't be surprised if one or the other (or both) don't eventually show up as partners in the joint venture.
