Hughes Remote Samsung 6163 DLP

I have a Hughes HRMC-17 remote. I'm trying to get it to operate my Samsung HLP6163WX DLP TV. None of the codes listed in the manual seem to work. Has anyone been able to get this pair to function?

Is there a trick to programming the remote? The manual seems to indicate that the TV button will stay lit, but it goes out after I enter the first number of the 3 digit code.

A great place to check is remotecentral.com they have all the goodies for programing remotes there.

I would help but I do not have the HLP series, I have a HLC552W
