HR54 issue with 4K clients

I did an install last night with an HR 54 with 4 K clients.

I got the clients registered to the Genie, but all I get is a black or grey screen on the clients.

Any idea what I can do to correct the issue?

I thought the HR54 required a service call. I was told just couple days ago my existing SWM with HR24's wouldn't work.

Depends how many tuners you end up with. The HR54 uses five tuner slots (will eventually be 7). HR24s are two tuners each.
A regular SWM LNB only supports eight tuners. Newer LNBs support 13 tuners and so you will probably get a new LNB installed.

Leave the clients on. They will take a flash update and will then start working.

BTW, this is true of all clients that show up like this, not just 4K ones.

I think I got a bad genie. Picture keeps on freezing periodically on the client and genie.

Changed all the wiring and dish and have the same issues.

well yea, issues on the genie completely change the game. but the banner/no programming thing is a known issue.
