this ce so far is better than the last two. the last two updates slowed the response time to commands almost immediately all the way to the next update. x290 was already faster right after downloading than the previous two even though the 1st 24hrs after an update is the worst because of all the info being downloaded to the drive. channel changing also improved.

Anyone notice that the HR20-700 seems to take longer when your doing the download, as far as when you initially hit the check mark and wait for it to shut down and power back up.

It seems like when trying to shut down, it is taking forever the last few times, making me hope that the unit is not getting old and harder on the unit itself.
It always does come back up, but seems like it would rather go to sleep

Only problem I've seen so far is that my Caller Id is no longer working, everything else is working as normal.

Planning on hitting the Saturday download window.... what's the Wireless Setup screen for? I mean, these dvr's don't have built-in wireless, so what's the point?

You can plug in a USB wireless adapter. Check for compatible adapters first if you need to go that route.

But if you add the Cisco Wireless Bridge Linksys WGA600N the box will allow you to configure it directly via the menus vs. having to connect it to a PC first and run the configu program there.

NETWORK SERVICES ISSUE!!

Network Connects fine sending reports and VOD works fine except channel 1080. But Network Services fails and always has. I even bought a new router, because I thought it was a problems with my old one, so I bought a new NETGEAR WNR2000 Wireless N Router. I have it set up as DHCP but Reserve a certain IP for my R22-100. I set up port forwarding and it fails I tried DMZ and nothing, I also disabled the firewall on it. It still doesn't work. I am contacted Negear Technical Support to see if it is a problem with my unit and they said all is fine. Network Services continues to fail.

My HR22-100 took much longer then normal for downloading the CE and reboot sequence. I think it took 20 to 25 minutes.

Mine always failed too however it's not even under my test setting now, I thought they removed it.

Network Services has always failed on most units. Jason has said it's something they will be working on later.
