Hr24 or C31? I give up on waiting for an HR44

I have been waiting for the HR44 for 5 months. I give up and am looking at the HR34.

But for the client, we only have two TV's, I am leaning toward the HR24 HD DVR instead of the C31 client. My thought is that if one goes out we will still be able to view and record TV.

Will I be able to view recorded material from each of the recorders? As in see the HR34 from the HR24 and the HR24 from the HR34?

?Plus anyone that has this setup feel free to let me know what you think of it.

I have a 44 and a 21 along with a client.

With the two DVRs, yes, they can both see each other and anything recorded on one can be watched on the other. It works well.

You can not however set a recording for one from the other. That has to be done on each box.

Good thinking having an HR24 and a Genie to avoid any down time in case of a failure.
