According to http://www.dbstalk.com/showthread.php?t=73209, release 010B is now officially in the stream available for download and HR20 owners should have received it overnight, if not force a download.

Also, DirecTV has posted info at forums.directv.com on how to install the ViiV code on your PC and set up your HR20 to view pictures and play music from your PC. If you don't have a ViiV Wintel box check out www.twonkyvision.de for another software package that doesn't require a ViiV platform to work.

Enjoy, Happy Holidays.

I just did a force for the software download and I am getting the OTA download Yeah!!!

So is the network feature, one that may expand services in the future????

According to their quick start guide, yes.........
GUIDEYour DIRECTV Plus® HD DVR is network-capable, meaning it can connect to your home network and the internet. With the proper equipment (as outlined below), your DIRECTV Plus HD DVR can display pictures and play music from your home computer! And that’s just the beginning. Soon your DIRECTV Plus HD DVR will also be able to stream video from your home computer to your TV.
