I have a new HR20-250 that was installed a few months ago and it seems to skip the audio constantly. About every 10 to 30 seconds the audio cuts out for about a second, I thought it was my Surround Sound Receiver but it does it worse on certain channels. Anyone one else having this problem? I have a HR10-250 in the other room and it seems ok.
Since the D* installer is coming Monday to upgrade my HR10-250 I was wondering If he could just replace it if it's bad? Or do I have to call and tell D*? I have insurance on all the equiptment.

You have a new HR20? Did you shut down the box and reboot after a few minutes of no activity and its still getting audio drops. If its still audio dropping, its usually a sign of the hard drive in the unit starting to go. I think Ramy had the same issue and had to have one of his replaced. Call Directv and have them replace it. You got the insurance so why not.

I too had this trouble also with pixalation, called D* , they verified the trouble and sent out another one.

Plywodstatebum,
I would call D* back real quick and see if they can get your replacement done all at the same time.
They may want a tech to look into it first before sending one out, so let the tech coming out check it out while he's there. IF he determines it's faulty, have him note it on your account, then call in to D* and they will send you one out Fed Ex.
