Thanks for the notes Master :)

I've seen this reciently, but don't understand what its doing and I don't see it as an option anywhere as to a choice.

Any ideas ?

Another Friday night, another CE and I'm sick again(the flu a few weeks ago and a sinus infection tonight)! Oh well, DL it and go to bed!

It is a form of native resolution accessed through the format button.

At first they called it as broadcast.

In the 3rd CE, they changed it to original format.

So is it Options to the Native ? I obviously have not played with it yet to see what it actually does.

If you use native resolution mode, you now can turn it on/off using the format button.

Before if you wanted to turn it off you had to go into the menus.

Good point, makes sense. Just funny that the reboots take almost as long as the downloads now :)

Reboots have always taken a long time on the DVRs at least the HR series.
I noticed that right away when I got mine originally, I think it took 7 minutes while the other ones took like 3-4 minutes.
Of course theres more going on with the HD DVRS than the standard rec's.

I use native, I'll mess with this for sure. Everything looks good, nothing is smoking and the Nyquil is kicking in so I'm done for the night. Always a pleasure here on Fri night, have a good night all!

I'm headed that way too shortly, it's been a long day.

Scott are you going to get your own contacts for CE's so we will not have to rely on people who ego trip for info.

Huh?

I hope you don't mean me regarding the ego trip comment?

Right now the info is emailed to me. I dont' have a desk job, so in the afternoons and sometimes evenings (I work in retail) other sites get it up faster than I do. We both get the info around the same time - within minutes. It may be hours, however, before I get to post that information.

Directv has a communication process to allow them to distribute information to all sites equally, and has already used it for some things. The CE program is not part of this yet, but could be in the future. Until then I think they are doing well at keeping things fair.

In no way do I think we're relying on people with an ego trip.

Now, if you want to talk about how other sites would modify or delete your question, that is a totally different matter :D

Saving shows from DVR to a computer?
