HR20-700 records empty program

I am a new Directv customer and have been a longtime user of DVRs (TiVo mostly, but also have used TWC's DVRs), but have never seen this happen. About 1x/wk a scheduled program will "record" and show up in my play list, but when I go to play it, nothing is there. It immediately prompts if I want to delete it. I look in the history list and it indicates it recorded with no issue(s).

Has anyone seen this? What can I do to prevent it? My wife is losing confidence in my new HD setup with Directv...

i have seen this a couple of times but only since I had installed the bbc's. I have subsequently discovered a bad bbc and replaced it and have not had any blank recordings since.

Did you experience any other problems with the bad BBCs? Since moving to Directv from TWC I would describe the PQ and DVR "flakey" at best - audio drops, flashes on screen, pixelation, etc. None of which happened with TWC.

no other problems other than the random searching for sat message. This was an intermittent bbc so it would come and go.
