My problem recently resurfaced when Directv upgraded the firmware to output 1080p resolution and I attempted to hookup via HDMI to DVI cable.
My equipment; Westinghouse 37" 1080p monitor, HR20-700 receiver, HDMI to DVI cable.
The problem; The HR20-700 receiver will not initialize when attached to the monitor via HDMI to DVI cable, all works good via component video cables. DirecTV said that it's a hardware problem with the HR20-700 receiver. Any solutions out there? Maybe clip a pin on the DVI connector end? Just looking for a fix so that I can enjoy 1080p on the 37" monitor.
