How to watch recorded shows on a 721 that's not hooked up

How do you watch recorded shows on a 721 when it's not hooked up? I'm just stuck on "acquiring satellite input" or whatever it says.

Did you try pushing the PVR button on the remote?

You can also acess it through the main menu and hig 1 tv list and then dvr list . This enables you to go to the recordings and avoid the aquiring signal.

<sarcasm>No, that never occurred to me. I thought if I just kept staring at the screen the PVR list would come up.<sarcasm>

The PVR button does nothing.
